A total of 65 participants attend the MICROCASA USM-IPPT Support for Stroke Caregivers Workshop, held on 30 April 2025 at the Auditorium, Blok B, Sains@Bertam.

The workshop aims to strengthen awareness, knowledge, and community support for those involved in stroke caregiving. It features an invited talk by Dr. Zetty Noreeta Mohd Rozali, Rehab Specialist from the Medical Rehabilitation Department, Penang General Hospital, who delivers an impactful session on “Stroke Awareness and Early Intervention.”

Participants include caregivers, medical professionals, students, NGOs, and representatives from various agencies. The workshop is led by Ts. Dr. Anusha Achuthan, whose sessions focus on identifying key challenges, sharing best practices, and brainstorming actionable solutions to improve caregiver support systems in Malaysia.

This initiative is coordinated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hazwani Hanafi and her team at USM’s Advanced Medical and Dental Institute (AMDI).
